Here at the Bhurtpore we have a team of dedicated chefs who work hard to deliver quality, wholesome food using fresh, seasonal produce.

We source the best quality produce available to us. This includes game from the local shoot, venison, lamb and some of our more unusual cuts from Lake Speciality Foods in Cumbria, beef and sausages from Brookshaw's butchers in Nantwich (who have supplied meat to four generations of the George family), goat from Chestnut Meats of Spurstow, Appleby's Cheshire from Hawkstone Abbey Farm in Marchamley and cheddar from Belton Farm in Whitchurch. The majority of our fruit and vegetables are sourced from Middlewich based wholesaler Perry's Produce, who prioritise local producers such as Willington Fruit Farm near Tarporley and Freshfields Eggs of Nantwich. We also have our own miniature orchard, producing apples and plums, and a kitchen garden producing raspberries, rhubarb and fresh herbs and chillies.

On the sweet side, we offer a selection of ice creams from Cheshire Farm, gelati and sorbets from Turin in Italy, part of the slow food movement, and a choice of guest flavours from small English producers.

In addition to our combination of classic English pub food and British and European style dining choices we have a selection of highly regarded, homemade curries made in our kitchen by the landlord himself, in-keeping with our Indian links. Ranging from the mildness of a Korma to the intensity of a Lamb Apocalypse Later, there is a curry to accommodate all tastes with a varying selection that may include lamb, chicken, goat, venison, keema and mutton.

For a look at our current selection, see the specials below.

We also offer a wide range of smaller meals for those with a smaller appetite or those in search of a light lunch.
